Tour Overiew

Starting in Pakistan’s capital, we will travel from Islamabad to Lahore covering the top sights of the Punjab region. Punjab is a place of many contrasts with a fascinating history as this tour will reveal.

You will visit towns draped in ancient heritage as well as contemporary cities that make modern-day Pakistan tick. You breathe in some of the world’s freshest mountain air as we trek thorough never-ending hills. One day you’ll meander through salt mines and meditation caves, the next you’ll be charging a camel through desert dunes and meeting nomadic tribes. You’ll gain insight to the mystical practice of Sufism. You’ll even have the opportunity to try your hand at local handicrafts, guided by the experts themselves!

And last but certainly not least, you’ll have an unforgettable night sleeping under the stars in the remote stretches of Cholistan Desert.

We begin our Punjab Explorer tour with a hearty breakfast in Islamabad before hiking in the Margalla Hills. This will banish any stiffness from your flight to Islamabad whilst you savour views of the city touted as the greenest capital in the world. We will visit the iconic Faisal Mosque – the largest mosque in Pakistan and experience the 2,500-year-old Buddhist caves at Shah Allah Ditta village. Let’s wrap up the day with a group dinner in Islamabad.
