GeoTours Social Responsibility

We aim to help travelers around the world explore the planet, create long lasting memories and see the world with a different, much broader, perspective. And we do our very best to make this happen.

We also recognise that with these great adventures, comes an even greater responsibility. Travel has the power to change how we think, to break down boundaries and to leave a positive imprint on communities. As a company, we’re making a stand for what we believe in. And as travellers, we encourage you to do the same.

Benefiting Local Communities

Trips to far flung areas of the world brings the added benefit of being in a position to be able to bring jobs and wealth to rural areas which are traditionally excluded from the same economic development ss the big cities. We aim to use our presence for the long-term benefit of local people and their environment by using the demand of our trips to create jobs for local people, greater income for local people and increased benefits for conservation, whilst as the same time minimising negative impacts on local environments and cultures.

We take our responsibilities to the environment, local communities, customers, partners and employees very seriously and constantly review our policies and strive to make improvements where we can. For us, this is a journey – we still have work to do.

Customer Safety

We take your trust in us very seriously. We operate a comprehensive policy to promote the good health and safety of our travellers abroad, only working with reputable operators who understand and meet our high standards. We consistently check travel advice from the UK Foreign Office and adjust trips according to their advice. We also work with local police and security personnel to ensure everything is done to keep our travellers safe and secure. In some instances on trips where night stays are in remote open areas such as the desert we may hire a trained guard, this is mainly to ensure safety from any wildlife.

Human Rights & Anti Slavery

We are proud to be working in an industry where we can have a real impact to bring real change to the world the world’s largest student and youth travel company. We are therefore committed to ensuring that all our employees, guides and instructors are fairly treated in their workplace (whether that be 17,000 feet above ground in Pakistan, or at our office in Manchester) and that the suppliers we work with are free from slavery and human trafficking.
